My career in education began as a middle school science teacher. I have been able to share my love for science through engaging, rigourous lessons; coaching students to win state science fair; science club trips to Kennedy Space Center, Discovery Cove, and Epcot; and sponsoring Science National Honor Society where students completed over 1000 hours of community service.
My current role is to work with science teachers to support best practices. I am responsible for four main areas: a) observing instructional delivery and providing feedback to support the development of content b) modeling strategies and guiding science teachers in the design of lessons, c) analyzing data in order to modify instruction, and, d) working with academic staff (grade level chairs, assistant principals, principal) in the school to support sharing of best practices.
